Mother's Day - A Little Late

Since those last pictures were taken and the original email was written, we've celebrated Mother's Day. For Kevin's Mom we took her to the Newport Aquarium where she got to show Daphne all the big fish and then, out to lunch with Kim. I think they both had a lot of fun. For my mom, she wasn't so lucky. My Mom and Dad came down this past weekend and helped us redo one of our bathrooms. So Mom got to spend the days watching Daphne, and watching Kevin, Dad and I install bathroom stuff. But the bathroom looks amazing. Mom, I promise to take you somewhere fun next time we're together.
Once we finish the detail work, I'll have some before and after pictures of the bathroom - it looks completely different, so fresh, up-to-date and as good as a 3' x 4' bathroom can look.

Day One

We got a new camera for Christmas and the pictures are AWESOME! (And....way too huge).

I was trying to email some pictures of recent events to friends and family but it was taking forever for the pictures download. At the same time, I was reading a book about a creative family. The mom has a blog where she chronicles what she makes and I seem to be drawn into it. And that's how the idea of the Blog started. A way to communicate with family and friends and show off all the cool pictures that (my) our new camera can take.

So, for those of you who haven't heard from me in awhile, I apologize. As usual, life has been busy. This is the email I drafted and tried to attach pictures 2.5 weeks ago.

--Well, I just thought I would email some pictures before time flies again and I have hundreds of pictures on the camera. Since the weather has gotten nice, we've gotten to go for lots of walks and Daphne loves walking her dolls. Sometimes when she gets tired of pushing the stroller, she just picks the whole thing up and carries it for awhile.
Kevin and I are playing softball again - both in the outfield, next to each other. And, again, the team won the game when I didn't play!!! They just got lucky.
This past weekend, I ran the Flying Pig 1/2 Marathon. It went pretty well - not quite as fast as I would have liked, but I finished and I wasn't too sore. All the training, all the running at 6:15 or 7:00 in the morning, paid off.
So, that's what the pictures are about.
Happy Spring!!!

By the way, since the 1/2 marathon - I have run 3 times for 3 miles each time. .....Definitely not keeping up with the running.
