Denise is not writing this post as usual. Kevin is. Denise deserves a break. She was outstanding in giving birth to our second child and first son. His first name comes from my father who died about 2 1/2 years ago. His middle name is from his other grandfather. He is a huge child. He is 9 lbs, 2 oz., 21+ inches long. I think Daphne was a couple months old before reaching that size.

I am not sure what we will call him. My dad went by Joe. Denise and my mom seem partial to Joey (how YOU doin'). I kind of like Joe-Mama, but I may change my mind.

We arrived at the hospital between 7-8 am on 5/26 and he was born at 10:33 am. We came home at 6:00 pm the next day. Most importantly, everyone is doing well. Mom and baby are checking out fine.

Daphne and Joseph exchanged gifts. Joseph got Daphne stickers of Curious George because that is what she wanted to name the new baby. Daphne got Joseph a ballon and cake courtesy of my mom and a blue bib Daphne picked out (although she really wanted to get a pink one for him). They each got Big Sister/Little Brother outfits.

Daphne also got him a book which she read to him.

Going to the Zoo

This week has been very peaceful...

I'm off work until the baby comes (and after) and Daphne and I get to spend some time together. On Monday morning, Kevin, Daphne and I went to the zoo....

Today's the due date, so let's see what happens.... (I wrote this post on the 14th and scheduled to have it posted today).
